Are you deciding between ARC and PLC? You may have more difficulty this year

PLC will use a $4.01 reference price for a bushel of corn and soybeans will use $9.26 for a bushel.

The clock is ticking for producers to get enrolled in their choices for risk protection programs.

Doug Yoder with Country Financial says the decision between ARC and PLC could be more difficult this year. PLC will use a $4.01 reference price for a bushel of corn, which is a $0.31 bump. Soybeans will use $9.26 versus the $8.40 it has been for the last five years.

Yoder tells Brownfield Ag News that ARC prices are even higher: $4.85 for corn, $11.12 for soybeans, and $6.21 for wheat.

Producers will need to have their minds made up by March 15th, and you can enroll at a local farm service agency office.
