Are you ready for the Super Flower Blood Moon lunar eclipse?

Sunday night make sure your eyes are set to the sky. The moon will be turning pink!

The “super flower blood moon” lunar eclipse will occur this weekend. This means that the moon will receive light bent through the Earth’s atmosphere causing the moon to turn pink, and then orange, and then red.

Most of North America, all of South America, and parts of Europe and Asia.

Things will start kicking off around 10:30 PM ET Sunday.

Why does it have this name?

The “Flower Moon” or “Planting Moon” is the name of May’s full moon. A blood moon is when a full lunar eclipse occurs. The super part means that the moon will look slightly bigger and brighter than normal.
