Just because Farm Aid’s annual concert was done virtually, does not mean it lost sight of its mission to raise money for family farms around the country.

The concert, which was hosted by Willie, Lukas and Micah Nelson on Monday night, brought in $500,000 thanks to donations from all 50 states and 15 countries.

The money will go to investing farmer-led solutions to the coronavirus pandemic, making emergency grants for farmers and ranchers, supporting local and national farm organizations and investing in the farm and food system as well as the mental health of farmers.

“The time to build a resilient family farm food system is now,” Willie Nelson said in a release.

Performers included John Mellencamp, Neil Young, Willie Nelson and Dave Matthews.
