Banned bologna is seized at U.S.-Mexico border

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection is showing off the seizure of nearly 300 pounds of illegal bologna. They made the discoveries earlier this month near El Paso, Texas. Both suspects were U.S. citizens. One said he can charge nearly the double in the U.S. what he pays for bologna in Mexico, but ag specialists say they can bring in foreign animal diseases. CBP issued more than 7,000 penalties in the last year, and they can cost violators up to $1,000.
