An up-and-comer who just missed making it to his first Wrangler NFR in 2019, finishing 18th in the PRCA RAM World Standings, Logan Patterson has proven that 2020 may be his year.
In his first performance at RFD-TV’s The American Semi-Finals on Saturday, the second-generation bareback rider (son of rough stock cowboy R.C. Patterson) turned in the top score of the night, going 84.25 points on Frontier Rodeo Company’s Painted Smoke. The following day, Logan again topped the leader board, scoring 83 points on Harry Vold’s Little Linda.

Patterson finished first in the Short Round and first overall in the bareback riding. Now he’s headed to AT&T Stadium to face the 2019 top 10 bareback riders in the world and fight for the $1 million side purse.
When being presented with his Semi-Finals buckle, Patterson said, “This is an amazing opportunity. I’m so excited to ride for a million dollars. This horse too, Little Linda, I’ve been wanting to get on her forever, and it’s just cool that it happened here.”
