Moments like this one make all the long nights, countless hours, and hard work worth it.
Jett Hale’s steer took home the title of Reserve Grand Champion on Friday at Rodeo Houston’s livestock show. The following day, he broke a rodeo record with his steer, going for an impressive $750,000 at auction.
Jett is a Miami, Texas native, and this was his last time showing as he finishes high school and is set to attend Texas A&M.
He is no stranger to the show ring. He comes from a showing family and even had a Reserve Grand Steer three years in a row.
What makes this story even more remarkable, Hale has been battling cancer and even undergone treatment while preparing for his exhibitions.
