The HEROES Act has quite a few provisions for livestock producers.
In addition to offering payments to producers forced to depopulate herds, it would also amend the charter for the Commodity Credit Corporation so it has more flexibility over funds in the future, should another national emergency like this arise.
Danielle Beck with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association says that there are some items in the bill that they are glad to see, specifically for cattle producers.
