The largest farm tractor in the world got a facelift with the largest farm tires in the world. Today, we take a look at the legendary “Big Bud.”
Clarion, Iowa is the current home of the Big Bud 747, also known as the Largest Ag Tractor in the World. The origin of the tractor came as two California brothers wanted a piece of equipment that would make farming in the state easier.
Sitting in the cab, your eye level is about 14 feet off the ground. It has 1,100 hp and weighs more than 12,000 lbs.
After sitting in a museum for many years, one of Bid Bud’s tires was bad. So, Titan Goodyear came in with new LSW 1400/30R46.
“You see it almost suffering in a museum, but it is just dying to get back out into the field and with these tires it has the opportunity to do that,” according to Scott Sloan, with Global LSW.
