Actor Bill Britten, best known for playing Bozo the Clown and Johnny Jellybean passed away earlier this month.
The longtime teacher and Army Vet was born in 1928 and was one of several actors to play Bozo on television shows.
He played the role on the “Bozo Show” in the 1960s.
Britten was also known for playing Johnny Jellybean on the children’s show “Time for Fun” before becoming a teacher.
Britten was born in Philadelphia and began his career performing at children’s events at Temple University and producing shows for Special Services while in the military.
