BLM received 11,000 public comments over the Lava Ridge Wind Project

We have an update on one of the country’s largest wind projects.

The Bureau of Land Management has closed its 90-day comment period after a 30-day extension for the Lava Ridge Wind Project. Revisions must now be made over the environmental impact statement.

The bureau received nearly 11,000 comments and a report is expected to be released in early summer.

The wind project would bring 400 turbines to 200,000 acres of farmland.
