A California-based sorting and grading company has introduced an AI-driven portable blueberry sorter called the Blue Pearl.
This mobile unit boasts a compact design, making it easy to transport while delivering high speeds and advanced sorting capabilities. It requires only one operator and can efficiently sort up to 8,000 pounds of blueberries per hour with remarkable accuracy.
The sorter’s success was validated through collaborations with Washington State University, which demonstrated outstanding results in size, speed, and accuracy.
