Once nearly completely gone from Ohio, bobcats are making a big comeback reports WLWT 5 News.
Bobcats are native to the state and one of seven wild cat species in North America.
Between 1850 and the 1960s there were very few reports of Bobcats in Ohio.
In the mid-1900s reports began to increase across the state.
In July of 2014, the bobcat was removed from the list of Ohio endangered and threatened species.
Sightings of bobcats are still rare, with the cat being a solitary animal and very elusive.
