In the months leading up to Memorial Day, 17 year-old Christian Juvet decided to restore a massive concrete American Flag in his local California Park for his Eagle Scout project.

He said according to Fox News, the concrete flag memorial was in “disarray, graffiti on it, skid marks, all kinds of dirt and filth”.

The flag was originally constructed in 2007 to honor World War II veterans. Once Juvet found out how important it was to veterans, he said he knew he wanted to refurbish it.

The project took about a month to finish.
