California’s farm-to-school programs account for 33% of participating farms’ total revenue

A new report shows that farm-to-school programs in California are benefitting farmers significantly.

California currently has the largest investment of any state in farm-to-school programs, spending nearly $100 million over the course of the last several years.
Sales to schools made up approximately 33% of participating farms total revenue.

California’s Farm-To-School Incubator Grant Program has also been credited with preventing several of these farms from going out of business.
