Cattle Markets Hit New Lows

Cattle prices continue to fall, with some sessions opening locked limit lower. StoneX Economist Donna Hughes says key supports are beginning to fracture as funds exit positions.

Herd size is a major factor shaping the market. The latest Cattle on Feed report shows inventories are down 2% from last November. Placements plunged 10% in October, hitting the lowest level since the report began in 1996. Analysts say any herd rebuilding could take at least two years to show results.
