Cattle producers in Louisiana affected by hurricanes can access USDA’s disaster resources

Louisiana cattle producers affected by hurricanes this year have access to disaster resources from USDA.

The Emergency Conversation Program Program provides cost share at 75 percent to remove debris, repair fences, and restore conservation practices.

The Livestock Indemnity Program pays for cattle killed by the storm, or those which were injured or sold at a loss.

The Emergency Livestock Assistance Program pays for feed or hay as a replacement for lost grazing land.

Plus, emergency loans are also available. Contact your local FSA office for more information.
