Pecan growers will have a new set of standards to operate by next month, and they are also updating some terminology and scoring guides.
USDA’s final rule will replace the current grades of pecans with U.S. Extra Fancy, U.S. Fancy, U.S. Choice, and U.S. Standard Grades. The final rule was published in the Federal Register late last month and will go into effect July 26th.
