This past weekend barrel racers made their way to Glen Rose, Texas for Destry’s Free 4 All barrel race, held at the Somervell County Expo Center. The event paid out over $85,000 in cash and prizes to top contestants, including a brand new Fiat Spider.
Up and coming super star and 2017 RFD-TV’s The American Invitee Chayni Chamberlain and partner “Flo Jo” came out on top with a time of 14.888 seconds. The team won $2,500. With a time of 14.89, Schelli Creacy rode “Nicco” to win 2nd place and $1,500. See a full list of results and payouts here.
Something unique about this barrel race is that the top three placings in each division received a key for a chance to win a 2017 Fiat Spider. It was Texas cowgirl Kim Sharp who’s key unlocked the driver’s side door.
Sharp told Behind The Alley‘s Amber Manley, “I started to turn the key, and it was turning! I looked at Destry, and I said, ‘It’s turning! My key is turning!’”
Following the Destry’s Free 4 All recap, Amy Wilson shares 3-2-1 Action Video highlights and results from the lasted RFD-TV’s The American barrel racing qualifier, where Tanya Jones and “Rockin A Lil” ran the fastest time of the race and secured a sport to compete at Semi-Finals in 2018.
