China’s Vice Premier Liu to sign trade deal in Washington next week

China’s Vice Premier Liu He, head of the country’s negotiation team in Sino-U.S. trade talks, will sign the “Phase 1" deal in Washington next week according to the commerce ministry.

Liu will be in Washington between January 13th and 15th according to a spokesperson at the commerce ministry.

U.S. President Donald Trump said the Phase 1 deal would be signed on January 15th at the White House. President Trump also stated that he would travel to Beijing to begin talks on the next phase.

The Chinese delegation will include 10 high ranking officials according to a source familiar with the preparations.
