The 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards are April 2 and this year, fans can look forward to an inspiring performance blending country and Christian music together. Contemporary Christian singer Lauren Daigle will share the ACM awards stage with country music icon, Reba.
The pairing makes perfect sense when you consider the spiritual focus of Reba’s latest album, “Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope.” The CD (which came out in February) showcases the broad appeal of Christian music and includes collaborations with Kelly Clarkson, Trisha Yearwood and McEntire’s mother and sisters.
Daigle herself is having an incredible year, coming off of her second Grammy nomination. Her album, “How Can It Be,” went gold a few months ago after it crowned the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart for six weeks. Daigle was also named the K-LOVE Fan Awards’ Artist of the Year.
