World-champion martial artist turned action film star, Chuck Norris turns 80 years old today.
Chuck Norris is an accomplished author, the face of a video game, actor, and martial artist.
In 1990, Norris became the first-ever Westerner in the history of Tae Kwon Do to be given the rank of 8th Degree Black Belt Grand Master.
Norris, born Charles Ray Norris, received his nickname while serving in the Air Force as an 18-year-old.
While Norris was in the Air Force he began studying martial arts, which would kick-start his career after once he was done serving.
He and Bruce Lee starred in a martial arts film “The Way of the Dragon” where he and Lee had an iconic fight scene in the Roman Colosseum.
In the 90s Norris starred in the hit CBS television show “Walker, Texas Ranger.”
