Colorado counties want a seat at the table for gray wolf re-introduction process

Some Colorado counties fear they have a slim chance of saying how gray wolves will be re-introduced.

Right now the advisory group is made up of various stakeholders. They want to serve as a cooperating agency with the state parks and wildlife commission, but counties in Colorado’s western slope say that they are most impacted by the gray wolf and they want a seat at the table.

Voters approved re-introducing gray wolves on the continental divide no later than December 31, 2023.
