RFD-TV’s Corryn La Rue report on how Congress is asking for the Small Business Administration to cooperate with farmers, when it comes to the Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program.
SBA has been denying farmers and rancher that apply for the program; they state that the program is not for agriculture. However, farm groups claim the language of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act does include the EIDL program. Many agency leaders believed that the USDA’s Disaster Aid Program would be sufficient for farmers.
Senator John Hoeven says, “Myself and others believe that the language of the CARES Act addresses that, so our farmers and ranchers can get the Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program, as well as the USDA Disaster Aid Program.”
