Nebraska Congressman Mike Flood is calling on the EPA to reevaluate their stance on Atrazine, saying the Agency did not use science-based evidence when restricting the herbicide.

He released a statement saying it would cost farmers more.

“The new regulations would remove farmers’ ability to use atrazine products in no-till and reduce till application, it could lead to more tillage and increase risk of erosion and soil loss and would add more expenses to farmers during a time of record energy costs.”

Flood joined 94 other members of the House to write a letter to the EPA, asking them to review their decision.
