Conservative leader calls to change Canada’s strategy with China

Heading into the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, Erin O’Toole, the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada says that the country needs to change its strategy with China.

“Ideologically a lot of farmers will agree with Mr. O’Toole that Canada has really taken a cooler approach trying to appease China and needs to stand up for itself and be a little tougher in some of these areas,” Shaun Haney, the host of RealAg Radio said. “Although back home on the farm, this could potentially have an impact on Canadian exports. China has been a heavy buyer of Canadian commodities.”
