Consumer Price Index is in line with market expectation

The latest inflation read report is out and it came in right where many analysts were expecting.

The December Consumer Price Index came in at 6.5 percent. Gasoline fell 9.4 percent last month, coming in 1.5 percent lower on the year.

Food prices were up slightly, up three points in December and coming in at 10.4 percent higher on the year.
