The Consumer Product and Safety Commission has issued a recall on Contigo Kids cleanable water bottles because of a choking hazard.

In total, the recall impacts close to 6 million water bottles, which are sold at Costco, Wal Mart and Target stores across the country. The bottles come in 13, 14 and 20 ounce versions and are often sold in packs of two or three.

The risk is posed by the bottle’s detachable spout.

Only black color spout base and spout cover models are included in the recall, according to the company website.

So far, Contigo has faced more than 100 complaints however no injuries have been reported and the company is offering to replace the lids for free.
