We have seen corn slide down in price. USDA Outlook Board Chair Mark Jekanowski says for the year, prices are expected to be down, on average, 26 percent.
“We reduced our U.S. season average this month by $0.05 per bushel at $4.75 a bushel, that’s down almost $1.80 from last year. Last year’s season averaged $6.54 per bushel.”
However, those lower prices could be driving an upward movement in corn exports, which USDA expects to rise 26 percent this year.
