Corona Virus fears impact Ag Markets

The Corona Virus outbreak in China hits global ag prices.

Agrecensus reports prices on both the US and Chinese exchanges fell sharply early this morning. Many fear the lockdown to contain the virus will hurt demand for US meat and energy.

Soybean futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange hit a six week low and corn neared two-week lows.

The virus has swept through China with 80 deaths, 27,000 confirmed cases, and more than ten thousand hospitalized with symptoms.
