Coronavirus Food Assistance Program enrollment opens

The Department of Agriculture has officially opened enrollment for coronavirus-related aid for farmers and ranchers today.

American Farm Bureau Economist Shelby Myers says that farmers can enroll in the program starting today by contacting their local Farm Service Agency office.

Farmers should receive their payment seven to ten days after their application is approved. Myers says that while farmers and ranchers welcome the aid, more will be needed later this year.
