Countdown to Convention: T. Wayne Williams Looks Back on Year of Service

Williams is the first Tennessean in 10 years to hold a National FFA officer position.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (RFD News) — Tennessee native T. Wayne Williams is preparing for the National FFA Convention after spending the past year serving as Southern Region vice president.

Williams joined us on Monday’s Market Day Report as part of RFD-TV’s Countdown to Convention presented by Culver’s.

In his conversation with RFD News, Williams reflected on representing more than one million FFA members across the country and being the the first Tennessean in 10 years to hold a National FFA officer position.

Williams also discussed growing up on his family’s fourth-generation beef operation and the lessons he learned working alongside his father and grandfather. He says those experiences kept him rooted in agriculture and shaped how he approached his year of national service.

With convention approaching, Williams is preparing to close out his year in office in Indianapolis and celebrate the organization alongside FFA members from across the country.
