Country legend and vocal powerhouse Reba McEntire recently found herself in a very scary situation after she was stuck in a building following a staircase collapse.
Recently, she and her team were visiting a historical building in Atoka, Oklahoma on September 14th when the staircase collapsed.
A city official stated that the staircase from the second floor heading up to the third floor collapsed, thus trapping those on the second floor. “It opened our eyes to see exactly just how unsteady they were and when they did collapse, we [saw] what little was holding them up,” Travis Mullins, the Emergency Management Director of Atoka, stated, according to NPR.
First responders were able to extract Reba and her team. No one was seriously injured.
While my team and I were in Atoka, OK yesterday checking out an old historical building, a staircase collapsed. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. We were safely evacuated from the building thanks to the quick response from the Atoka fire and police departments.
