Sturgill Simpson shared on Instagram Saturday that he has tested positive for coronavirus.

The singer sought medical attention for chest pains and a fever on March 13 but was not tested until April 6. His diagnosis officially came back positive on April 10 after he had spent almost a month symptom-free.

Simpson noted that although he had first experienced symptoms in mid-March he was still contagious and that he was told by a CDC nurse that the virus reacts differently in different people.

“All I know is I first felt symptoms a month ago yet Im still positive and contagious and now on quarantine in the dojo until April 19th and really wishing Id taken my wife’s advice and put a bathroom in the floor plans..live and learn,” he wrote on Instagram.

Simpson’s scheduled tour Tyler Childers has postponed all dates.
