Crop insurance deadline extended for second time

Recent crop insurance deadlines that were extended due to COVID-19 are extended again.

Approved local crop insurance agents will have authority to delay premium payments and administrative deadlines up to 60 days. This is for the period between May 1st and July 1st. The extension also include accrual of interest and the time period for correcting acreage reports and other crop insurance documentation.

Risk Management Agency Administrator, Martin Barber says that the agency has a history of being lenient in tough times.
