The Department of Justice is wrapping up its antitrust review of the Dean Foods and Dairy Farmers of America deal. The $430 million dollar deal comes as the DFA looks to buy the bankrupt Dead Food’s milk processing plants.
Some individuals believe this will help the milk markets and keep dairy farmers employed, but other dairy groups believe this deal will monopolize the markets.
