The Farm Service Agency is trying to make it easier for producers to apply for the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program.
They have application available online and there is a payment calculator to help producers figure out what their payments would be. Producers can also call their local FSA office and have it sent to them digitally and complete the entire process from their homes.
According to Richard Fordyce, the FSA Administrator, “We’re able to send applications to producers, also there’s an opportunity there to digitally sign that application, and as soon as you digitally sign the application it goes back to the county office for processing.”
If you are not comfortable submitting it online, some offices have a dropbox location or you can mail it in.
