Rural America’s native daughter rolled up her sleeve and got a dose of her own medicine, so to speak. Dolly Parton even re-wrote the lyrics to one of her most famous songs to encourage you to do the same.
Dolly said she knows the virus is serious and she’s not trying to make light of it. But she said some people are afraid to get the vaccine right now. She encouraged them to “not be such a chicken squat” because the sooner we get vaccinated, the sooner life returns to normal.
Dolly got the Moderna vaccine. You may recall, she gave more than a million dollars to help create that vaccine. It’s also the dose best-suited for rural America because it doesn’t require ultra-cold freezers for storage.
