EPA extends summertime E15 sales but one group says more action needs to be taken

The EPA has extended its Clean Air Act waiver to permit the sale of E15 gasoline through August 8th.

This will allow fuel with 15 percent ethanol to exceed the standard summer RVP limits. Initially set to expire, the waiver’s extension follows previous renewals in April, May, June, and late June.

NACS’s Paige Anderson says they want indefinite legislation.

“While NACS supports these short-term waivers that allow for the sale of E15, we continue to pursue permanent legislation that would allow for its year-round sale.”
