Ethanol exports could hit $4.5 billion in 2025, according to USDA

While crop prices may be in a slump, ethanol exports are set to reach a new record next year.

USDA is forecasting ethanol exports to hit nearly $4.5 billion in 2025, which is up $800 million on the year, and is unchanged from prior estimates. Export volumes are expected to be near 2 billion gallons.

Canada is a major buyer of U.S. ethanol, with the U.S. making up all of the country’s imports. The U.S. is also a top supplier to the United Kingdom.
