The American Farm Bureau Federation reported many wins for American farmers and ranchers in the 2020 spending bill.
Here are some of the wins for farmers and ranchers:
- An additional $1.5 billion in disaster aid for those impacted by severe weather in 2018 and 2019.
- $10 million for the Farmer and Rancher Stress Assistance Network.
- $550 million to expand rural broadband as part of the ReConnect Program.
- Retroactively extending the biodiesel tax credit so it can be applied to 2018 and 2019, as well as extendung it through 2022.
- Pushing back the mandatory implementation of electronic logging devices for livestock haulers to Sept. 30, 2020.
“We are grateful to members of Congress from both parties for their work to develop and pass budget bills that will help farmers and ranchers on multiple fronts,” said American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall.
