The ag sector reviews the potential benefits of the HEALS Act. The Senate plan includes $20 billion dollars for USDA to help farmers as they continue to deal with supply chain issues and trade uncertainty.
RFD-TV speaks with Farm Credit Council CEO Todd van Hoose on how the funds may help ag producers and the changes to the PPP mentioned in the bill. He states, “One of the things that farmers really had trouble with the Paycheck Protection Program, was that it really wasn’t designed for them. Especially sole proprietors and things that are really ubiquitous in agriculture, we didn’t have a way to translate that income into PPP applications.”
