The widespread cell service outage that caused disruptions for T-Mobile, customers has been resolved. The company said that the outages were a result of “widespread routing issue affecting voice & text”.
T-Mobile President, Neville Ray tweeted early this morning with an update:
“Voice and text services are now restored. Thank you for your patience as we fixed the issues. We sincerely apologize for any and all inconveniences.”
Meanwhile, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai took to Twitter calling the outage “unacceptable”, saying:
“The T-Mobile network outage is unacceptable. The FCC is launching an investigation. We’re demanding answers—and so are American consumers.”
Downdectector reported more than 100,000 outages across the US during Monday’s outage. Verizon and AT&T also showed network issues, but both companies attributed the issues to troubles connecting to T-Mobile.
