Washington officials state the cancellation of the APEC Summit by Chile will not make a difference on phase one of the U.S.-China trade deal.
Some leaders were concerned the events in Chile, whose capital city has been plagued by recent riots, would affect the trade timeline, but officials have offered reassurance that the deal will still be completed by mid-November, as planned.
