A Florida Keys commercial fisherman was forced to give up his commercial fishing license for life according to the Miami Herald.
A local judge banned 50-year-old Alfredo Gonzalez Tapia from fishing in Florida and also gave him nearly one year in jail for over 200 violations.
He will not be allowed to swim in the ocean or fish from land in the Keys for five years under the sentence.
Gonzalez was caught with out-of-season fish, undersized hogfish, over 100 undersized lobsters, and improperly marked lobster buoys when he was arrested last year.
