The 2021 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo has been canceled because of the uncertainty of the pandemic.
Communications manager Matt Brockman said the announcement was a culmination of a lot of gut-wrenching feelings among the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo team.
“Obviously public safety and public health is going to be a major priority for us and as we looked at all that data and we looked at the risk assessment tools, we couldn’t get around the fact that an event like ours.....would remain at a really elevated high risk of the spread of COVID-19,” Brockman said. “The decision was tough, it was hard to make, but it was one that needed to be made.”
