GA farmers donate more than 10,000 jars of peanut butter in celebration of National Peanut Month

It is National Peanut Month!

To mark the occasion, farmers in Georgia are donating more than 10,000 jars of peanut butter to the DC Central Kitchen.

The Chairman of the Georgia Peanut Commission says that the sticky goodness is one of the most requested items at food banks due to its long shelf life. This donation can be used to make more than 140,000 sandwiches.

Georgia leads the country in peanut production, generating nearly 53 percent of the 2020 U.S. crop.
