Goodyear says it hopes to have its new soybean tires available to the public later this year.
The company recently unveiled a tire made of 90 percent sustainable materials like soy oil that helps keep the tire pliable during temperature changes.

Goodyear says the tire has passed regulatory and internal testing but it is not ready for production just yet. The company hopes to have a version with up to 70 percent sustainable materials available for sale later this year.
