High egg prices expected to extend through Easter and well into 2025

“It is difficult to try, you know, pin down what we’re going to see moving forward... Very much a different situation this go around.”

Consumers are facing a prolonged period of higher egg prices that is expected to extend beyond the Easter holiday. While supply challenges from high path avian flu are a factor, new data shows consumer demand is also playing a role.
