The father-son duo of Team 7Brew Coffee had something special brewing as Alton Jones Jr. and Alton Jones served up about as many pounds of bass as the second- and third-place teams combined. The Texan pros led the way with 27 scorable bass weighing 65 pounds, 5 ounces. They will advance to Knockout Match 1, and Jacob Wall and Bobby Lane of Team Star Tron will advance to Knockout Match 2 with their 20 scorable bass weighing 39-14.

Just below the elimination line, Michael Neal and Brent Chapman of Team Lucas Oil put up a good fight, placing third with 26-11 on 14 scorable bass. Justin Cooper and John Hunter of Team BUBBA placed fourth with 16-5 on eight scorable bass.

Challenge Cup, Day 1: Winner and Runner-Up

Team 7Brew (father-and-son duo Alton Jones Sr. and Alton “AJ” Jones, Jr.) won Elimination Round 1 of the MLF Challenge Cup and will advance to the Knockout Rounds later this week along with Day 1 runner-ups, Team Star Tron (Bobby Lane and Jacob Wall).

The Fishing Clash Continues Monday Night on RFD-TV

The Major League Fishing Challenge Cup action continues on Monday with a new fleet of four teams hitting the water.

Challenge Cup, Day 2: Winner and Runner-Up

The winning team and the first runner-up team will advance to the Knockouts on Days 3 and 4 of the Major League Fishing Challenge Cup tournament.

RFD-TV will broadcast the final period of each of the following competition days LIVE on TV from 2:30-5 p.m., and livestream the entire Challenge Cup each day from 10 AM - 5 PM ET only on RFD-TV Now!
