Hormel and UFCW reach new contract agreement with higher pay

A union representing more than 17,000 Hormel employees reached a new contract agreement with the processing giant.

The United Food and Commercial Workers Union has been trying for month to get workers in Georgia, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin higher pay. They say that this new contract is the largest wage increase in company history.

It also protects healthcare coverage and expands pension and 401K benefits.
